Basketball Trophies Designed by Tiffany

Tiffany & Co. designed and created its first trophy for the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1977 with the NBA Championship Trophy. Today, we proudly make a total of seven revered NBA trophies and one Women’s National Basketball Association Trophy, having updated the entire NBA trophy suite in May 2022 through a creative partnership with artist Victor Solomon.

The NBA Larry O’Brien Trophy

Standing 64.7 centimetres in height and weighing 13.15 kilograms, the newly redesigned Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy features a regulation-size basketball. The updated Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy has space for the next 25 years of champions and includes the names of all previous winning teams on the two-level cylindrical base.

The Conference Trophies

In 2022, Tiffany & Co. and the NBA introduced two new trophies: the Larry Bird Eastern Conference MVP Trophy and the Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson Western Conference MVP Trophy. In addition, the existing Conference Championship trophies were renamed the Bob Cousy Trophy (East) and the Oscar Robertson Trophy (West).

The NBA Bill Russell MVP Trophy

Tiffany & Co. has produced the Bill Russell Trophy since 2005. Redesigned in 2022, the trophy stands at 43.81 cm tall, weighs 4.98 kg and is crafted in gold vermeil.

The WNBA Championship Trophy

The House has designed and handcrafted the trophy since 1997. The sterling silver trophy stands 19 inches tall, weighs approximately 16 pounds and takes a total of 106 hours to craft.

The WNBA MVP Trophy

Introduced in 2023, Tiffany & Co. proudly designs and handcrafts the WNBA MVP Trophy. This new sterling silver trophy stands 45.7 centimetres tall and weighs approximately 5.44 kilograms.
