Horse Racing Trophies Designed by Tiffany

Horse racing is what started our legacy in trophies with the creation of the Woodlawn Vase, the second jewel in the Triple Crown and today, the oldest continuously contested trophy in the United States. To date, we proudly craft awards for The New York Racing Association Man o’ War Cup and the Arlington Million Trophy, among others.

The Woodlawn Vase The Woodlawn Vase Tiffany designed its first trophy for a racing association in Louisville, Kentucky. Standing 91.44 cm tall and weighing approximately 13.6 kg, the Woodlawn Vase is now awarded to the winner of the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Woodlawn Vase – the trophy that began our long-standing tradition of crafting victory – returns home to Tiffany & Co. For the first time in over a century, the magnificent sterling silver trophy comes back to the Tiffany hollowware workshop for restoration ahead of the 2024 Preakness Stakes.

The Belmont Memorial Challenge Cup

In 1897, Tiffany was commissioned to design the Belmont Memorial Challenge Cup for the Belmont Stakes, the oldest of the Triple Crown events. The founding sires of the thoroughbred horse in America are portrayed on the base of the bowl.
